My son graduates in May. He loves Star Wars, and we had planned on attending Star Wars Weekends. Since the weekends have, unfortunately, been canceled, do you have any suggestions on how we can make this trip special to celebrate his accomplishment?

    Hi Vakisha!

As a fellow fan of Star Wars and Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I sympathize with you and was a little heartbroken to hear the event will no longer be taking place. With that said, I am excited to see Star Wars playing a bigger role in the parks and can't wait to see how incredible Star Wars Land will be. I know that doesn't mean much now as there is quite a long time until completion, but luckily there is lots to do during spring at the Walt Disney World Resort.

There will be other Star Wars opportunities for him to enjoy as mentioned in the latest Disney Parks Blog post and I would keep an eye out because I have a feeling they may have even more Star Wars announcements planned.

For an exciting day to celebrate his special accomplishment, how about a splashtacular adventure at one of Disney's incredible water parks? You can feel like VIP in your rented private cabana, enjoy the waves and thrills, swim with sharks, even schedule surf lessons. The list of activities is endless. Water park days are some of my family's favorite vacation days and no one does water parks like Disney. Finish the evening with reservations at one of the delicious Disney dining locations which offers a gorgeous view of Wishes nighttime spectacular and toast his accomplishment together as the lights dim and the music pipes in. You can even order a specialty cake just for him!

If you need any additional help planning his special celebration, please let me know, Vakisha. I'd love to help you create the magic.
