Hey there, Miriah! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
Isn't it great that kids under the age of 3 can enter any of the
4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks for free? I like to think of it as a personal gift from Mickey Mouse himself. I honestly think you won't have any trouble entering the parks with your son. I've never seen anyone get stopped and asked for age verification. It's kind of on the honor system when it comes to that. If it makes you feel better, you could always make a copy of his birth certificate just in case but you won't need it.
Did you know that kids under the age of 3 can also eat for free at
Walt Disney World restaurants? If you dine at all-you-care-to-enjoy places like
The Crystal Palace or
'Ohana, your son can have as many plates from the buffet of his own that he would like. When you are dining at restaurants where you select one entree from the menu, your son can plate share with anyone at the table. If you wish to order him his own entree, only then would you need to pay. When my daughter was younger, we did a lot of the all-you-care-to-enjoy style meals. It saved us a little bit of money and a lot of these restaurants are also character meals. She was thrilled to meet some of her favorite characters and it freed up some time in the parks so I didn't have to schedule that in.
I hope this helps, Miriah. If you have any questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and ask.
