Hi Lori Hope!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. First off, congratulations to your son and his fiancée! What an amazing gesture a Disney cruise would be for the newlyweds. For Disney fans, there is no cruise line that will immerse them in all the magic they are accustomed to and blow them away with top notch service and entertainment like Disney Cruise Line.
Gifting a cruise would be a jaw dropper for sure. They would have one heck of a honeymoon! While you could
contact a Disney Cruise Line vacation planning specialist or a Travel Agent to make the reservation, you also may need some level of collaboration with your son and his bride-to-be to make sure there is no doubling up on plans. Wouldn't want them to be planning the honeymoon themselves and then they find out about this!
My guess is that the most fun part will be planning the big reveal of the surprise! I'd suggest using the
cruise planning tools from Disney Cruise Line and then get inspired by what you see. Suggest that they book a couples massage at
Senses Spa and Salon and a reservation for a special romantic meal at
Palo. Also make sure their newlywed status is noted on their reservation and that they are celebrating their honeymoon while cruising.
While there are not any adults only cruises, there are plenty of
adult-exclusive areas on each ship that are essentially playgrounds for adults only! From
Quiet Cove Pool on all four ships to Satellite Falls on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, these sundecks are THE places for grownups to have their quality time.
Cove Café is the perfect spot for coffee talk to start the day off with a caffeine boost. And the
lounges and nightclubs in the After Hours areas of the ship host dancing, comedy acts, and fun competitions into the wee hours.
Feel free to launch more questions our way at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Wishing you and your family a spectacular wedding celebration and sending lots of pixie dust to the almost newlyweds!
SEA ya real soon!
