Hiya, Adam, and thanks for stopping by
planDisney!
I’m excited to hEAR that your son and his friends are planning to purchase the
3-Day Southern California Resident Ticket, which is a great deal for local residents! Some of my favorite memories are from visiting the parks with my best friends as a teenager, so I’m excited for your son to experience the
Happiest Place on Earth with his buddies in just a few weeks!
This is a great question, and one I recently asked a Cast Member for clarification. So, here’s how it works: Your son will only be required to show a valid government-issued photo ID if he's age 18 or over, so if he’s under 18, he won’t be required to show anything besides his valid ticket with park reservation for admission. Keep in mind that the Southern California Resident Ticket can only be used on weekdays now through May 26, 2022, and is only valid for residents living within ZIP codes 90000-93599.
If your son or anyone in his group will have access to a mobile phone, I recommend downloading the
Disneyland app before his visit – it’s my favorite handy helper for navigating the parks and checking attraction wait times! Also, I recommend sending your son with a
Disney Gift Card to use for payments – this is the perfect way for him to budget for meals and purchases with one simple card.
Last but not least, here’s the
Entertainment Schedule for your son’s first visit. He can use it to check park hours and see any attractions scheduled for refurbishment.
I hope this information helps your son plan the perfect visit, Adam! Please stop by with any additional questions you may have… we’re all EARs!
