My son has a feeding tube and I make all his meals with a blender. We will be bringing our own blender, plan on using the food onboard to feed him but need a refrigerator to keep his fold cold as we would make more than one meal at a time. Advice?

    Welcome aboard, Mary Jo!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel with your question. Families with special dining instructions are well serviced on all the Disney Cruise ships. Your dining team takes the utmost care in making sure that they service & prepare everything for a pleasant dining experience. Your dining team will be more than happy to puree any food items for your son. You will want to make a special notation on your cruise reservation that your son requires pureed food during your voyage. You can also call the Disney Cruise Line travel desk directly at 1-800-951-3532, to make sure that this special note is reflected on your cruise reservation. Your assigned dining team will receive this information onboard, and they'll be happy to do the food prep for you.

When you first meet your dining team on your 1st evening, they'll also reconfirm instructions - you can chat with them and let them know what type of food you'd like pureed. Since you have special dining instructions, I highly advise that you dine at your assigned restaurant each night, so that your special requests can be accommodated. This same service cannot be guaranteed at the quick service meal stations or the buffet.

Since the pureed food might be served in bowls, you'll need to pack small containers to transfer the food into. Each stateroom will have a small refrigerator, and you can store the small containers of food in there for the following days' meals. You'll have lots of choices onboard, and your dining team will be more than happy to send you off with extras after dinner.

As a safety precaution, please note that electric blenders are included in the prohibited list onboard. I'm positive that your dining team will send you off with plenty of food every night, though. I hope that this information is helpful. ~ Dolly
