My son and his family have a reservation at AOA in a Cars suite. My husband and I would like a double room close by. I see those rooms are in a building pretty far away at AOA. Would we be closer by staying at the POP resort? Thanks.

Hi, Barbara! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so happy to know you are planning on staying at one of the wonderful Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. With all the fantastic benefits of staying on property, great amenities, immersive and oh so detailed theming, you will truly enjoy them all!

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is my family’s favorite resort! My kids absolutely adore walking around and exploring the beautiful grounds and taking pictures with the larger than life characters. But for Mom and Dad, one of the benefits of the suites is the convenient master bedroom that is separate from the living area. This resort does offer standard rooms, but you are correct, they are located separately from the suites. These rooms are equally beautifully themed, decked out in Disney’s Little Mermaid motif, and only a short walk away from the suite buildings.

If you would still prefer to have separate, adjoining rooms, Disney’s Pop Century Resort would be a better choice. And, you could still hop on over to Art of Animation as these two resorts are connected by a bridge. I love renting a surrey bike with my family and riding between the two. It’s a super fun ride!

I’m sure you will have a blast, no matter which one you pick! Don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any more questions!
