My son and his family live in NY and I live in FL. They booked their room and tickets, and I booked my own. Is it possible for me to match the dining reservations that they made?

    Hi Svetlana,

We are delighted that you brought a great question to us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It certainly is possible and there are a few options. First, I suggest that they try to change or modify their dining reservations and add you as an additional guest. Currently, in My Disney Experience, I can click on an advanced dining reservation and then click on "change." Once I click on "change," I have the option to update the party size. If there is availability, they will be able to modify the reservation. If I use the My Disney Experience Mobile App, I can click on the dining reservation and then click on "modify." Once I click on "modify," I then see an option to change the party size.

A second option is to make your own dining reservations at or around the same time as their reservations. Then, when you arrive at the restaurant, you can request that they seat you all together. Although restaurants have been able to accommodate our similar requests in the past, there is no guarantee that they will be able to seat your party together.

Finally, you could try to make new reservations for everyone at the same restaurants and then cancel the original reservations. I would only recommend this option if you all are planning to change restaurants or dining times all together. No matter which option you do, be sure that you all connect through the My Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience so that you can share plans!

Svetlana, if you are considering doing something special for your son and his family, check out the Nature Experiences as part of the Enchanting Extras Collection. Our girls enjoyed seeing the elephants on the Caring for Giants tour and learning about the rhinos on the Up Close with Rhinos tour. Or, make sure they have Memory Maker so that everyone has access to the digital PhotoPass photos you will take on your trip. We prefer to gift our girls with experiences rather than merchandise. Of course, the very best gift of all is spending time with each other, so we have returned from a number of trips without having purchased any extras!

Wishing you lots of laughter and love as you enjoy the most magical trip with your family!

    Magic and memories,
