My son and family will arrive at the Orlando airport at 2 pm. We are staying at Fort Wilderness and have dinner reservations at 5:15 at 1900. Will this give us enough time to get there?

Hello, Amanda. Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing us your question.

I’m excited to hear you have decided to stay at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. When you stay on property, you’re able to enjoy so many added benefits; like complimentary travel from Orlando International Airport to your resort via Disney’s Magical Express.

The drive time from the airport to your resort is approximately 25 minutes. With your flight arriving at 2 pm, you are probably cutting it a little close to make it to your reservation at 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. With so many variables like flight itineraries and Disney’s Magical Express’ schedule, I would recommend trying to find a later reservation so you don’t have to worry about running late.

Simply log into your My Disney Experience account and select modify reservation. If you can’t find a later time, don’t worry; or as Timon and Pumbaa would say: “Hakuna Matata!” Guests often cancel or change reservations close to their reservation date, which means some availability will open up. So if at first, you don’t see a later time, keep checking!

Make sure you don’t miss Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You will have a great time with your family roasting smores and watching a Disney movie under the stars!

I hope you have a magical time during your stay!
