Hi there, Miandra! You and your son must be so excited to plan a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Walt Disney World Resort is one of the most welcoming and accommodating destinations I've ever visited.
Did you know that you can bring everything from food to rain gear to medications with you into the Disney Theme Parks? While I don't recommend overloading your bag, I always make sure to have some
bear necessities on hand for my family. Things like lip balm, hand sanitizer, sunglasses, a reusable water bottle, and a few snacks are really helpful to have within reach. I keep these items organized in resealable plastic bags for easy access. You'll be happy to know that you will be able to bring your son's medication with you into the parks, to ensure you have the best and safest experience possible. You might want to mention to the friendly Cast Members at the security checkpoint that you're carrying medically-necessary items as you're preparing to enter the park. You can always refer to the Walt Disney World website's
list of prohibited items if there's anything else you're questioning bringing with you.
Miandra, did you know that the theme parks have lovely
First Aid Centers? You can find these by using the map feature on your
My Disney Experience Mobile App. There are helpful nurses onsite, and you'll find clean, private facilities equipped with sharps disposal. You're welcome to visit a First Aid Center whenever you need!
I hope you and your son have the best time on your vacation! Stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you prepare for your trip!
See you real soon!
Jennifer
