my son has dwarfism and we were wondering if we could bring a razor scooter into the parks. He is 10 so we don't want to use a stroller and he does not need a wheelchair so we don't want to use one of those. The scooter would help him keep up when tired.

    Hi Cathleen,

Unfortunately, scooters are among the items that are not permitted in the parks.  Click here for a list of some of the items that are not permitted.

I would go to Guest Relations in the first theme park you visit during your trip and request a Guest Assistance Card (GAC).  Explain your son's situation and that he tires easily. They may be able to help him with alternate queues or waiting areas so that he does not have to stand as much.  That would hopefully help him keep up his stamina.

The parks are really big so if he decided at any point that a wheelchair may be useful you could consider renting one.  Just keep in mind that quantities are limited so if you don't rent first thing in the morning there may not be one available later in the day.  If you do decide to rent a wheelchair, there is a section on the WDW website devoted to Guests with Disabilities that you might find helpful.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
