Hello there, Lianne! Welcome to the wonderful world of the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for taking the time to submit your Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!
As someone that has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome myself, I have a unique understanding of your particular situation! I know that my own hyper-mobility can certainly cause a variety of interesting issues whenever I am visiting the parks! Hopefully, I can provide you and your son some helpful information for your upcoming trip! Walt Disney World Resort does an excellent job providing
services for their Guests with disabilities! They are truly committed to providing each and every Guest with magical experiences!
The
Disability Access Service is one such service that provides accommodations for Guests that cannot wait in a conventional queue environment due to disability. Guests with Disability Access Service can receive a return time that is based on the current wait time for any attraction that accepts
FastPass+ reservations. Guests may then return to the attraction any time at or after the given return time and experience the attraction! Disability Access Service can be issued at any Guest Relations main entrance location. If you and your son visit any of these locations, a Cast Member will assist you in figuring out which accommodations will best address your specific situation. Guests are not legally required to provide proof of disability but it is helpful to know how accommodations may enhance your experience!
Please let us know if you have any other questions and have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort!
