Hi there, Katie!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question about your upcoming visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth. It sounds like your family is working on planning a magical Disney day, and I'm happy to help!
Depending on what type of
theme park ticket your son has through his school function, he may or may not be able to "hop." If your son has a My Disney Experience account and the theme park ticket is visible in his
Plans and Tickets, you can verify the ticket type there. Otherwise, I recommend reaching out to the event coordinator for details on the theme park ticket type to be provided to students. If your son's ticket includes the
Park Hopper option, he will be able to visit any of the other theme parks after 2:00 p.m., pending availability. Katie, if the ticket is a One Park Per Day ticket, you can still upgrade it to a Park Hopper. To do this, simply visit a
Guest Relations location, theme park ticket window, or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. There, you'll pay the difference between the cost of the One Park Per Day ticket and the Park Hopper ticket and he'll be ready to "hop!" Alternatively, if you were able to see the theme park ticket in your son's account, you may be able to modify the ticket type within My Disney Experience or contact the
Existing Tickets phone line for assistance.
If your schedule allows, I encourage you to visit the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival during your visit - it's my favorite EPCOT festival! The gorgeous gardens and beautiful blooms are sure to be a welcome sight for folks visiting from the snowy Midwest in the early spring.
Katie, I hope that this information has been helpful and I wish you a magical and memorable visit to Walt Disney World Resort. From one Midwesterner to another, I can't think of a better springtime vacation destination! If you have additional planning questions, please feel free to stop back by planDisney anytime - we're all ears!
See ya real soon,
Lauren
