    My son is going to Disney with my parents. Since grandma bought the package the bands are linked to her cc. Is there a way to link my cc to my sons band? My son is 14.

    Hello and welcome to planDisney, Sharon. 

    Grandparent/grandchild trips to Walt Disney World are so magical, Sharon. Your son is going to have a great time. My daughter is also 14 and has loved visiting with my parents over the years. It really is memories made that will last a lifetime. 

    Sharon, I think you'll be happy to know that you can add a different credit card to your son's MagicBand for charging privileges. However, this has to be done in person at the Walt Disney Resort Hotel front desk that they will be staying at. So, your son will need to have that credit card with him to be able to do this. If you are comfortable sending a card with him then this will work out just fine. When your parents go to do this, they can even set a spending cap on the charges your son can make each day if you'd like. I think this is a really cool feature to help keep kids accountable with their spending. 

    If you aren't comfortable sending your credit card, maybe purchase some Disney Gift Cards for your son to use instead. Disney gift cards can be found at most major retailers. I like to pick them up at the grocery store. I think this could be a great alternative. If he has a smartphone, you can actually purchase virtual Disney gift cards and load them onto the wallet of his phone. He can use those anywhere a gift card is accepted which is pretty much anywhere.
