My son is going on the Disney Magic cruise to Grand Cayman with his grandparents. Just wondering if anyone has any advice about what to pack for him? Thank you

    Hi Mitch,

They're going to love the Disney Magic!  I'll be sailing on that ship next month (for the 4th time)!

My son is 11, and I'll tell you what I plan on packing for him.  For formal night he can wear a suit, but I'm taking slacks, dress shirt and tie for that evening.  Jackets take up too much space in my luggage.  For the rest of the dinners, nice shorts (think Bermudas) and polos.  A few tshirts for day time/youth club, and his bathing suit.  I bring my son's dress shoes for formal night, and his Crocs for the rest of the time.  Don't forget a hat and sunscreen:)

It's really easy to pack for kids.  They are running around the ship all day and shorts and tshirts are perfectly acceptable.  You'll also find that some days your son will be going to dinner in the same shorts and tshirt.  You see, he won't want to leave his youth club to go change....what a waste of fun time that would be!  Tell the grandparents not to stress over that....it's okay...they are on vacation!

Hope this helps!  I hope they have a magical sailing!
