Hiya, Karen!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this
Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR!
Oh Boy! This sounds like a very special time of celebration for your whole family! Congratulations to your son on finding his Happily Ever After, and double ear cheers to you on your new family member! Remind the happy couple to stop by the front desk of their
Disneyland Resort Hotel to pick up some complimentary celebration buttons and to wear them proudly over their whole trip!
I very much love the spirit of this question. You get my nomination for Best! Mother of the Groom! Ever! I'm so sorry to share that one of the extras yet to return from the pandemic pause is the west coast version of
Disney Floral and Gifts in-room deliveries and decorating. But that doesn't mean that I don't have other ideas!!
If you did have their reservation number, and you were to try to add a
Disney Dining Reservation, a
Cake Order, or add something from the hotel shop, they would be charged for that extra as there (at the current time) is not a way to pre-pay for an experience like that. You could, however, look up the prices of these experiences and if you're able to set something up or even find the price of something you'd like for them to have, you could send them on the trip with a
Disney Gift Card in the amount of said surprise. (You could even send an
E-Disney Gift Card to one of their email addresses while they're having fun in the Southern California sun!)
You can, however, schedule and pay for a 20-minute newlywed photoshoot on their behalf through the
Capture Your Moment enchanting extra. The best part about these personalized mini-sessions is that the happy couple can choose any location in the parks to remember this very special visit, and they can save the digital images to their
PhotoPass or
Disney Genie+ service. You could print off the confirmation and gift it to them in an envelope well before their trip so they could have time to plan their outfits.
My last idea is that you could
send something, anything, to their hotel through the front desk. This could be a gift basket from a local merchant, a grocery delivery through a service like Shipt or Amazon, or even a box of goodies that you mail from home. You'll want to be sure to make the delivery address that of the hotel and include "Guest" in front of the recipient's name (bonus points if you include the check-in date) and the front desk will do the rest!
I'm so sorry that this wasn't exactly the answer you were sEARching for, Karen, but I hope that it helped to give you a few ideas. Please tell the happy couple that Mickey wishes them all the best! And if you (or your son!) have any more
Disneyland Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!
