My son has discovered Star Wars, and we will be at Walt Disney World this autumn. I have read about Star Tours: The Adventure Continues and the Jedi Training Academy. What do you recommend to maximize his Star Wars experience?

    Hey Robert Scott-

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I intercepted a transmission from an Imperial Probe Droid. They know that your son is part of the Rebel Alliance and is the Rebel Spy. I suggest you jump to light speed and dock your starship at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Star Tours-The Adventure Continues and Jedi Training Academy are two fantastic attractions that will help prepare your young Padawan rebel for battle against the evil forces of the Empire and Sith Lords. Your first order of business is to arrive 30-45 minutes before Disney’s Hollywood Studios opens so you may be front of the line to sign up for Jedi Training Academy at the ABC Sound Studio. This is a highly sought attraction and 12 Padawans between the ages of 4-12 years old may sign-up. During the show have your video camera ready as you encourage your Padawan to be strong against the Dark Side. Star Tours-The Adventure Continues has over 30 action packed simulation adventures through the Star Wars Universe. Hoth, Kashyyyk, and Coruscant are some of the places you will battle through while evading Darth Vader with the secret plans.

After your adventure you will pass through Tatooine Traders where you will not find “scum and villainy” but collectables and souvenirs including droid building and lightsaber construction stations.

Disney Dad Tip: There are face painting stations located through the theme park where your padawan may pretend to be part of the Dark Side with a Darth Maul makeover. I also enjoy capturing pictures on the Speeder Bike in the grassy area between the giant AT-AT/Ewok Village and the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. I feel like Luke Skywalker racing through the forest of Endor.

Robert Scott, enjoy making many Magical Memories and May the Force Be with You!
