My son is a disabled Army veteran. Can he get discounted tickets and where would he purchase as he does not go to base any longer. Can he purchase at the park? What forms of id are needed? Old military ID and driver's license?

    Hi Beth!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for supporting your soldier and being a Blue Star Mom. My husband is currently serving in the Air Force and having family support from back home really keeps us both going. Thank your son so much on behalf of the entire Disney Parks Moms Panel for his service to our country!

Currently, specially priced U.S. Military Promotional Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park Tickets are available for purchase to those who have current DoD benefits. This group includes Active Duty, Reservists, full Retirees, AD Cadets, Foreign Allies with a U.S. CAC Card who serve in any U.S. Military Branch, the U.S. Coast Guard, National Guard, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service and the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration. 100 percent disabled Veterans are also welcome to purchase Military tickets. Their retired Military ID must state 'DAVPRM'. If you have any specific questions relating to your sons service, the best place to contact would be Shades of Green, an Armed Forces Recreation Center located on Walt Disney World Resort property near Magic Kingdom Park.

U.S. Military Tickets can only be purchased at three locations: on a military base/post, at a Walt Disney World Resort Guest Relations, or from Shades of Green.

Back up options: Do look on Disney World's Special Offers, Deals & Discounts webpage as great packages are released all the time. And double check any travel perks that may be offered though memberships you may have with wholesale stores, travel or automobile clubs, your work, or even your points based credit cards.

I hope this helped, Beth, and thank your whole family again!
