Son with disability has problems some days with walking. We rent wheelchair those days but wonder if WDW would make our room as close to bus pick up area as possible so end of day he won't have to go as far off the bus. Never stayed on resort in past.

    Hi Robin!

You are going to adore your first vacation staying on the Walt Disney World grounds!  When you make a reservation, please have the cast member note that your son has some mobility issues on your reservation.  Also, have them request a room as close as possible to transportation.  While they can't guarantee room placement, Disney is wonderful about accommodating these types of requests.

Also, I would pick up a Guest Assistance Card at one of the Guest Services locations.  This card is a lifesaver for guests with disabilities of all types.  While this card is not "one size fits all," the cast members are trained to help you select the card that is the perfect fit for your son.  For more information ,click here.  Have a fantastic vacation!
