if I have a son with a disability how can I accommodate him more while visiting what can I get so that he's not waiting the long lines

    Hi there, Amanda,

Our family is really grateful for the ways that the Disneyland Resort accommodates Guests with disabilities. Just like each person and their individual circumstances are unique, the accommodations that are offered are tailored to the specific needs of each Guest. For example, Guests with mobility disabilities may be offered extra time to board an attraction ride vehicle or an alternate entrance that bypasses stairs encountered in the regular attraction queue.

Guests who have a disability that makes it difficult to endure a traditional attraction queue may request to register for the Disability Access Service (DAS). Guests registered for DAS use the Disneyland mobile app to book a return time for up to one attraction at a time. The wait time is based on the estimated standby wait time for the attraction. Guests may wait for the reserved time in a more comfortable location. Or if they so choose, they can go shopping, dine, or even experience another attraction.

To register for DAS, simply visit a Cast Member at any of the various Guest Relations locations throughout either theme park. The Guest requiring the accommodation will be interviewed to determine eligibility for DAS. If DAS is the most appropriate accommodation for that Guest, they will be registered for the service along with up to five other Guests in the same party linked together in the Disneyland mobile app.

After registration, a new Disability Access Service (DAS) tile will show up in the Disneyland mobile app. Tapping that tile will display a list of attractions eligible for booking DAS return times. It’s also possible to search for a specific attraction in the map view of the app or from the Disney Genie service Tip Board. Guests with Park Hopper tickets must first hop to the other park before return times for attractions in that park may be booked with DAS.

Tony’s Tip: To multiply the magic even more, DAS can be used along with purchasing the Disney Genie+ service. We have used Genie+ to book one or more Lightning Lane return times while also booking a DAS return time. With two or more attractions queued up within the My Genie Day itinerary, we have found that we can experience a great deal of "the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy" in very little time.

I hope you and your family have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Amanda.
