Welcome to planDisney Jennifer, and thank you for stopping by with your question.
EPCOT is such a wonderful park to visit. One of the only places I can think of that actually still makes learning new things fun. From World Showcase to
Living with the Land. Most attractions and pavilions have a lot to offer learning about the culture or the future. Living with the Land is one of my favorites because the future of the way we farm could be the way a lot of the crops are grown on this attraction. There always seems to be a new plant with a new technique being explored for higher-yielding crops. Continuing to improve our farming methods will leave less of a strain on our planet.
If your son is a huge fan of this attraction like I am then the
Behind the Seeds tour might be the right fit. If your son is visiting once he has turned 18 he will be able to enjoy the tour alone. If he visits before his 18th birthday he will need to be accompanied by a paying adult. Once he has scheduled his tour he will want to make sure to show up at the lower level of The Land Pavilion
15 minutes before the time of his tour. He will explore 4 greenhouses and fish farms that will amaze you with that up-close view.
December is a great time to visit, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by Advent is in full swing during this month. For me, it is important to see how other countries celebrate the holidays. That is on full display while visiting the World Showcase each year during this festival. The Holiday Cookie Shroll has something for all the snackers in your son's group. It is a highly recommended activity that most will love.
I hope this information helps you decide whether your son will be able to enjoy this tour. Visit us again anytime at

Have a magical stay,
