That's a great question, Tarah -
Thank you for stopping by and sharing the excitement of your upcoming magical cruise. The
Nursery onboard the Disney Cruise ships offers parents and other family members a wonderful option to enjoy the ship's amenities on their own. The little cruisers will be busy playing in the nursery, where they'll be comfortable and safe. While they're in there -- parents can enjoy adult-exclusive time together!
If you are sailing on a shorter cruise, you will have an allotted time of 10 hours for the duration of your voyage that you can use at the nursery. When we sailed with my 2-year old niece, we knew we were going to enjoy dinner at Palo and later check out the night clubs. Since we had the late dinner seating, it was easy for us to pick 8pm-11pm. I highly suggest taking at least 1 night just for the adults to spend some time together -- so, reserving time at the nursery enough for dinner and the show will be nice. If you also intend to spend some time at the Spa, then you'll want to block out some time for that too.
Dinner time is a popular time for child drop offs at the nursery, so you want to get a reservation for a slot in there early. Just in case your plans change that day, you will have a no-penalty cancelation if you cancel at least 4 hours in advance. At least, you've already got a slot in there for him to use (and still have the option of changing your mind earlier in the day). If you end up needing more time in the evening, you can always call the nursery and let them know that you'll need an extra hour at the lounge :-). It happens...
I hope this helps, Tarah. Let us know if need additional help to plan for your upcoming cruise vacation.
