Hi. My son and I are considering traveling from Germany from June 16th to 22nd.The most important thing for my son is Savi's workshop. Is there enough space for this? Can the workshop be booked on-site, or does it make sense to do so before? Thanks

    Hi Andreas,

Welcome to planDisney! I understand wanting your son to have the lasting memory of building his own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop. It is truly a way to immerse yourself in the Star Wars story.

Advance reservations for Enchanting Extras, like Savi’s Workshop, are recommended. If you haven’t already, you may be able to book Savi’s Workshop in advance by using the chat function in the My Disney Experience app. However, a limited number of same-day reservations and walk-ins may be available. I’ve checked the current availability for the dates you’ll be in Walt Disney World, and I see several reservation times available. I’m hopeful that you’ll be able to make a same-day reservation, if necessary.

After building your lightsaber, make your way to the Milk Stand to grab some blue or green milk. Keep an eye out for Stormtroopers, in my experience, they’re often patrolling the area near the Milk Stand (that could be due to the TIE Echelon stationed nearby).  If you’re looking for a bite to eat, Ronto Roasters and Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo are some of my favorite dining locations in Hollywood Studios. I recommend the Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters or the Pirjanad Hot Chicken Tip Yip from Docking Bay 7.

Good luck with your mission to build a lightsaber, Andreas! If you have any more questions, please come back to see us at planDisney! May the Force be with you!
