My son is coming to Disney with his high school band, can he use Disney gift cards for spending money instead of cash? I am concerned about sending him with a lot of cash

Hello Michelle, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Congratulations to your son and his high school band with the honor of performing at the Walt Disney World Resort. He will have an amazing time and I am sure you are proud of him. When my daughter performed in the Magic Kingdom many years ago, I was lucky enough to travel with her and I was concerned about the amount of cash she needed when she was not with me.

    Disney Gift Cards
are indeed the perfect solution for all his needs. A Disney Gift Card is redeemable at most dining locations and shopping locations, wherever credit or debit cards are accepted. The only exception may be some small kiosks that do not have the ability to scan cards.

Rest assured that he will be able to bring home some great souvenirs and enjoy some delicious snacks while he visits the Walt Disney World Resort. If he should happen to come home and still have a balance available, Disney Gift Cards can be used to purchase items from the Shop Disney Parks Mobile App in case there is a must-have item he forgot to bring home with him.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
