My son will be 2 when we check in to our Disney hotel, but will turn 3 the next day (our 1st day at the park). I believe he will be considered 2 for our whole stay and will not need park tickets - can you confirm?

Hi Susan! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

How excited you must be to spend your son's birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort! I truly can't think of a place more magical to celebrate such an occasion!

Since your little one will be 2-years old when you check-in at your Disney Resort hotel, he will be considered 2-years old until you check-out. I confirmed this with a Cast Member just moments ago and was told that he will be a "guest of Mickey" for the entire trip! What an honor!

During your trip, be sure to pick up a complimentary celebration button for your kiddo. He will receive special attention from Cast Members along the way with lots of "Happy birthdays!" You may also want to check out what special celebration cakes are available during your trip. I had one on my last visit and goodness, it was delicious!

Thanks for bringing your question to us, Susan! Feel free to visit us again soon!
