    My son and I will be celebrating my 30th birthday this weekend at Disney World. I heard that the filming of the Christmas parade will be happening while we are there. Do we need a special ticket to be able to watch it?

         How exciting that you are celebrating your birthday with your son in Walt Disney World this weekend!  Yes, the 2013 Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade taping will be held in the Magic Kingdom on December 6th & 7th, 2013 with December 8th held as an additional date should it be needed. I have been in the Magic Kingdom for a few years during the Christmas Day parade taping and it was quite busy on Main Street USA and near Cinderella Castle. You don't particularly need a ticket to watch some of the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade taping , but if you really want to be part of the action up close, then you would need a ticket. Keep in mind that the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade taping is a lot of waiting, a lot of starts and stops, and retakes so it will not be like a normal parade that just runs down the street once.
