my son will be celebrating his 13th birthday while at Disney world, any ideas on something special to do for him,He thinks he is too old for Disney...also has anyone got any tips on getting chosen for the star wars Jedi academy?

Hi Penny! Thanks for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Panel! I have a 12 year old boy who turns 13 in June. His favorite thing to do at Walt Disney World is driving a Sea Raycer boat out on Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. He could spend all day on the water if I could afford it. Definitely consider it. In the parks, his favorite attraction is Expedition Everest, followed by Rock 'n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and the Tower of Terror. His favorite place to dine is Cape May Cafe, followed by Ohana in the Polynesian and the Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge. One thing my son has not done, but I am sure he would enjoy is the Wild Africa Trek in Disney's Animal Kingdom. It is relatively expensive, but it is amazing and would make a great birthday present. With regards to the Jedi Training Academy, it is now on a first come sign up basis. Just head over to that area of the park in the morning to sign up, and you will be assigned to a show. Be sure to have your young Jedis with you when you go to sign up. I hope this helps! Write back with more questions!
