Hi Reynaldo,
How exciting to be celebrating your son's 8th birthday at Walt Disney World! No matter what you do, I am sure that it will be magical just because you will be at Walt Disney World. We celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday at Walt Disney World; let me share with you some of what we did to make it extra special.
First, be sure to get the birthday button for your son to wear on his birthday. This is available free of charge at Guest Relations at any Walt Disney World theme park. Walking around with the button, you will hear wishes of "happy birthday!" from cast members and other guests alike. You also might find that wearing the birthday button gets him a little extra magic, like a cupcake or birthday song at a restaurant. Speaking of restaurants, be sure to indicate on any reservations that you make - dining or resort - that you are celebrating his birthday. Again, you may experience a little extra magic. Extra magic is not guaranteed, so do not expect it, and then when it happens it is extra special.
You also could consider working with a Dream Maker at
Disney Floral and Gifts to create a special gift for your son. We had a plush Minnie Mouse holding colorful balloons delivered to our villa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort for our daughter on her birthday. I suggest that once you browse the website, call Disney Floral and Gifts at 407-WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438) to work with a Dream Maker to customize a gift for your son. Also, consider calling the Disney Cake Hotline at 407-827-2253 to order a custom-made cake for your son. We had a beautiful Minnie Mouse cake made for our daughter on her birthday.
I hope this gives you some ideas for celebration, Reynaldo! Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
