Welcome to planDisney, Rebecca.
I'm so sorry that your son can no longer join you on your Disney adventure! Oh, bother! I hope that you will still be able to have a magical time, Rebecca. On my last trip, my family couldn't come with me, and so I brought them back plenty of EARidescent souvenirs, which they appreciated. I even brought them back a cookie from
Gideon's Bakehouse! But I'll be honest..... when I got home... I ate the cookie. I'm sure you're a better person than me.
But "let's get down to business." Disney Theme Park tickets are nonrefundable. However, if the ticket has not yet been used, you can easily reassign it to another person on your Family & Friends list. To do that, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your My Disney Experience account.
- Visit the My Reservations section.
- Locate the ticket you wish to reassign.
- Select the “Reassign Ticket” link to the right of the ticket.
You can reassign the ticket until its first usage. However, once you use a ticket, it cannot be reassigned.
If you'd like to change the date on his ticket, here are two simple ways to do that:
Using Your My Disney Experience App
Open up your app and click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner and select "Tickets and Passes. Your ticket should appear with the option to modify the date of your visit.
Using Your Browser
Sign in to your My Disney Experience account. Go to your "My Plans" page and scroll down to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. Next, you'll need to click on "Tickets & Memory Maker" to view your ticket. Once you click on the ticket, you should see an option to change the date of your visit.
I hope that's clarifying, Rebecca. Hopefully your son will get a chance to visit soon and experience
The World's Most Magical Celebration.
See ya real soon!
Mike
