Hiya Cody - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
It sounds like you have a really great trip coming up - great job planning! I know your Mouseketeer's broken leg probably wasn't a part of those plans, but as someone who has had more than one Disney vacation in a full boot, let me tell you - it really isn't that bad!
When it comes to experiencing the fun and sun at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, there will be some special considerations. While wearing a walking boot on attractions at the Water Parks is not specifically prohibited by the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, Guest safety is always the priority. Every situation is different, and if a Cast Member believes that the boot poses a safety concern at a particular attraction, your son will need to skip that attraction. Medical devices come in all shapes and sizes, and some may be safe to wear at certain attractions while others are not, hence the lack of a complete ban.
Outside of safety concerns, the walking boot would definitely get wet, and depending on how long it takes to dry, that could become an issue. The amount of walking that happens during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation can be intense, and it would be my own personal nightmare to do any of it in a soggy boot! Every ticket has its own unique Terms & Conditions, so if you decide
not to visit Typhoon Lagoon this trip, stop by a Guest Relations location to learn about any options you might have for those tickets.
I hope this information is helpful as you continue your planning journey. You can
stop by any time with additional questions! Also, as you make your magical plans, be sure to include the newest thrill at Magic Kingdom Park –
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise!
See ya real soon!
