Welcome to planDisney, Aysia!
I will never forget the smiles on my boys’ faces when they got birthday hugs from their favorite Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and his pal Pluto. Taking your baby boy to Walt Disney World will be a trip that you will always remember. It’s the practically perfect place for celebrations. So, let’s jump right into how you make this the best birthday yet!
It’s great to hear that you’ve already purchased a multi-day ticket for yourself. Be sure to make
theme park reservations as soon as possible in the
My Disney Experience app. Now, your son is considered a “Guest of Mickey” and enters the parks for free when he’s younger than 3 years old. He can also get into the water parks, after-hours events, and other various places around property for free. I loved this perk when my kiddos were younger.
But any guest who is older than 2 years of age needs a valid form of admission like a theme park ticket or annual pass in order to visit the Disney Parks. Cast Members rarely ask for proof of age upon entering the theme parks because it is assumed that Guests are following this park rule and many children of that age have no photo identification.
AN EXTRA GEM: I can’t forget to tell you that kiddos under the age of 3 can dine at most buffet- and family-style restaurants at Disney. This is the best thing ever for families with picky eaters who may not want to or be able to eat big meals yet. My family’s favorites are
Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom and
Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Hollywood Studios.
I hope that this answer gives you peace of mind when planning your vacation. Your little one is so lucky to have such a cool parent that is planning a birthday trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to

Magic always,
