My son has a behavioral disability, we will get a DAS card. Is the whole family allowed to return and ride together or are my daughter and husband expected to remain in line while my son and I wait to ride elsewhere? I don't want to be split up.

    Hi Amy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner! I have a son with special needs and understand the importance of planning ahead when it comes to our vacations. One of the many reasons we love visiting Walt Disney World is because of the incredible guest service and accessible experiences found throughout the Resort!

I'm excited to tell you when using the Disability Access Service Card (DAS Card), you will be able to experience the attraction with your entire family at the designated return time! Your daughter and husband do not need to wait in line to ride the attraction while you and your son are elsewhere until your designated return time. The DAS Card welcomes up to six people to ride. If you happen to have more than six people in your party, please let the Cast Member know when you pick up the card at Guest Services so he/she can indicate the number of Guests included on your DAS Card.

I also wanted to mention that your son does not need to be present at the attraction to receive a return time. However, he must be present when you and your family return to board the ride. As soon as your son finishes one attraction, you're able to use the DAS Card and get a return time for the next one! We use My Disney Experience to check wait times for attractions and coordinate using my son's DAS Card around meals, parades or shows so my son always feels like we are going from one exciting thing to the next!

Amy, I hope you and your family have an incredible time on your upcoming vacation!
