My son is autistic, can we get the DAS? And is the genie+ recommended to buy as well?

Hello, Tiff – welcome to planDisney!

Are you packed yet? Your visit to The Happiest Place on Earth is just around the river bend, how very excited you must be!

Tiff, Disneyland Resort has an unwavering commitment to providing all Guests with an accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable visit with the Services for Guests with Disabilities, including the Disability Access Service (DAS).

Registering for the Disability Access Service can take place one of two ways – from 2 to 30 days before your arrival with a virtual chat online with the DAS Advance, or during your visit, in-person at any Guest Relations Lobby inside a Disneyland Resort theme park. To prepare for your registration either way please ensure you have the following in place - please link valid theme park admission to your Disney account for all in your travel party so that they may be included on your DAS Guestlist, make your advance Disneyland Resort - Theme Park Reservations for each valid day of theme park admission, and please ensure the Guest needing the accommodation (your son) is present - rest-assured, it's a very friendly chat.

Planning with the Disability Access Service (DAS) during your visit, once registered is easy to do because it will appear in your Disneyland Mobile App during your visit and you will see a list of eligible attractions in the attraction flow list, which you, or the registered DAS Guest, or anyone on your DAS Guestlist will be able to select from with the self-selection tool. Or you, the registered DAS Guest, or anyone on your DAS Guestlist will be able to request a DAS return time at an attraction or experience entrance, or at a Guest Experience Team kiosk located near attractions. Just ensure the registered DAS Guest will be present when it’s time to redeem a DAS Return Time at an attraction or experience.

Tiff, you are also welcome to use the Disney Genie+ service along with the DAS, which work independently of each other to further streamline your day, just be sure to select all your preferred attractions, experiences and dining so that the Disney Genie can prioritize everything to present to you in your attraction flow list. It works perfectly enabling you to see and experience much more in a shorter period. I highly recommend this service which you can purchase during your theme park ticket option considerations, or as soon as you enter a theme park using the Disneyland Mobile App. Plus, when you purchase the Disney Genie+ service, you will enjoy unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from your day including Magic Shots!

I hope that this information is helpful to you, Tiff, and I wish you all the most enjoyable and magical visit to the Disneyland Resort at Halloween Time!

Best Disney Wishes and Spooktacular Adventures!
