Our son is on the autism spectrum and in the past we have used the DAS with success. How does the DAS currently work right now with the pandemic? Usually we would come at our assigned return time and go in the fast pass line.

    Magical Greetings to you, Fernando!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

I am so excited to see you’ll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the yEAR! I absolutely love the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort.  Be sure to try the yummiest seasonal treats while you’re there!

Fernando, there are many things I adore about Walt Disney World Resort, but the Disability Access Service (DAS) is the one thing that truly makes me feel Disney is for everyone. I also have a little Mouseketeer that requires using the DAS and it has been so helpful for our family. I have wonderful news for you: you are still able to use the DAS just as you normally would. You can go to any Guest Relations, located in every Theme Park, when you first enter the parks with your entire party. They can provide you with a disability pass by setting up the service for you. The way it works right now is a Cast Member at your attraction of choice will provide you a time slot for that attraction. Although FastPass+ service isn’t available at the moment, you will get to pass through the FastPass+ queue using the Disability Access Service. You may find this page of Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities to be helpful! In it, you will see a variety of types of services to help your family enjoy their visit.

Rest assured as you prepare for your magical vacation, Disney is doing everything they can to make Guest and Cast Member safety a priority. Here is a Know Before You Go guide to help you with all of the latest updates. Also, to limit capacity in each Theme Park, Disney has introduced the Disney Park Pass system!  If you haven't already, be sure to make your Disney Park Pass reservations so you’re able to enjoy the magical Theme Parks of your choice!

Have the most enchanting time with your family, Fernando!
