Gus from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My son has Autism Spectrum Disorder, and we secured a few rides via the DAS service. Will we also be able to add Genie +?

    Hi there, Gus!

Nothing makes the holiday season more magical than spending it at Walt Disney World Resort with those you love! I’m so happy to hEAR you were able to sign up in advance for the Disability Access Service (DAS)! It is so very helpful to Guests who cannot stand in a traditional queue.

Gus, I’m happy to tell you that you can absolutely purchase and add the Disney Genie+ service and use the Disability Access Service simultaneously. Since the two are different services, you can stack them.

Since it sounds like you have already purchased your theme park tickets, I would love to tell you the steps in how to add the Disney Genie+ service to your existing tickets.

Please open up the My Disney Experience Mobile app, and follow these steps to purchase the Disney Genie+ service:

-Tap on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner
    -Click on "My Genie Day”
-Select "Get Disney Genie+ Service" in purple
-Once you have read through the description of Disney Genie+, please select "Get Disney Genie+ Service.”
-Select the members of your party you would like to purchase the service for
-Once you have reviewed the details, please continue to confirm your purchase

Once you have confirmed and completed the purchase, you should be good to go! The Disney Genie+ service will begin to show up on the app at midnight before your visit to the parks. You can start making your first Disney Genie+ selection at 7 AM Eastern, the day of your visit. A bit before 7 AM, I recommend opening up your My Disney Experience Mobile app, tapping on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner, and then choosing My Genie Day. Next, select the “Tip Board” (located on the top, next to “My Day”), and beginning at 7 AM, you will be prompted to book an experience from a list that shows wait times of attractions available for you to choose from. If you are there before 7, simply pull down the page to refresh it, and you should be able to begin making your selection. After choosing and confirming your first selection, it will appear under your “My Day” page.

You will be able to make your following selection after two hours of your first selection or after tapping into your first attraction, whichever comes first.

We can’t wait to welcome you and your family to the magic, Gus! Have an enchanting visit!
