Hi my son has autism and several food allergies and food aversions / preferences. If I wanted a piece food like a salmon cooked with just salt pepper and garlic … could I order that at the dining room service?

Greetings, Jeny and welcome back to planDisney!

As a fellow mom of an autistic child, I am thrilled to hear that you will be sailing with Disney Cruise Line – my son loves Disney cruises and has thrived on each and every sailing, surprising us with spontaneous developmental bursts often!

Disney Cruise Line Rotational Dining special meal requests may be accommodated. We always call the Special Services Team (407-566-3602) in advance of our sailing to have this important detail noted on our reservation. Once onboard, we inform the Head Server and our Serving Team on the first night of our rotation and rest assured, they do their utmost to accommodate us. In fact, I never had to repeat my son’s special dietary considerations for the rest of the cruise – I am always so impressed by the high standard of attention to this specific detail. My son also loves salmon, so we always had freshly cut lemons and olive oil at our table because he loves those on his salmon, while for me, they always remembered that I enjoyed my coffee with my main course – I just loved that!

    Please Note:

Cultural and lifestyle meal options, including Halal and Kosher may be available with an advance request for table-service dining. For all special dietary/allergy requests and for any life-threatening allergies, or severe allergies please, at your earliest convenience, contact the Special Services Team at 407-566-3602.

In efforts to accommodate all Guests, Disney Cruise Line offers many accommodations for Guests with autism such as the Disney Cruise Line – Information for Guests with an Autism Spectrum Disorder to assist with various cruise logistics. For further inquiries kindly phone: (407) 566-3602 Fax: (407) 566-3760 TTY: (407) 566-7455 or Email: SpecialServices@disneycruise.com
