My son has Autism and Sensory problems, I am wondering if he is required to wear his magic band throughout the time we are in the parks or really at all. Things like bands on his arm cause him to meltdown.

    Hi, Kristy!

No guests are required to wear or even use MagicBands. Simply stop by the front desk of your resort and let the Cast Member know that you would prefer a card that will serve the exact same purpose of the MagicBand (use it as your park ticket, FastPasses, room key, charging to your room, and dining plan credits). You can then carry his card with you. You are welcome to also keep his MagicBand (both will have all the same information, so totally interchangeable) in case he wants to try it out.

If there is any other detail that might make your vacation easier, please inform a Cast Member and they will do what they can to make your vacation enjoyable for your entire family.
