I have a son with autism… does he have privileges to go for a fast lane like on the other parks?! If so where should I send his proof of diagnosis?!

    Hi Anna,

We're so happy you found your way to planDisney. With just a few more magical sleeps until your visit, let's get right to your question so you can get all your Disneyland plans in place.

The Disneyland Resort strives to be as accessible as possible for all Guests. Similar to Walt Disney World, Disneyland also offers Disability Access Service (DAS) to support Guests who may not be able to wait in a traditional queue due to a developmental disability. If you have used this service before at other parks, the mechanics are similar where DAS allows you to book return windows for select attractions comparable to the current standby wait time so Guests do not have to physically stand in line.

You can easily find information about the DAS program on the website or in the app by simply heading to the search tool and typing in "DAS". You will see that you have two options to request DAS for your visit - either via Live Chat ahead of time or at the Accessibility Service Kiosk upon arrival. To request DAS ahead of time, head to the website, search for DAS, scroll down to "Speak with a Cast Member", and tap the link included in that section to access the "Live Chat" feature. Eligibility can be requested as soon as 60 days in advance of your visit between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM PST. Be sure all of your tickets are properly linked to your account, the Guest requesting DAS is present, and you have read through all of the terms and conditions. Once you're ready, tap the "Request Live Chat" button and follow the instructions from there. The Cast Members will walk you through the process to determine if your son is eligible for this service. If you wait to do it upon arrival, it will be a similar process in person at the kiosk.

On your park day, once you are registered, you can request your first return time as soon as your party scans in through the Main Entrance Gates in the Disneyland App. You will only be able to hold one DAS return window at a time, so your next selection will be available as soon as you tap into the first. One important thing to note is that any Guest linked to a DAS party can make the return time selections, but the Guest registered with DAS must be present to redeem them at each attraction. If you have any questions, I highly recommend reaching out to Guest Services ahead of time, or you are always welcome to visit the Accessibility Services Kiosk when you are on the ground in the parks!

Anna, I really hope we've set you up for a magical day in the parks! If your son loves to visit the galaxy far, far away, you'll definitely want to spend some time on Batuu. Season of the Force has just kicked off through May 11, 2025, and includes special snacks and entertainment offerings throughout Galaxy's Edge! I heard you may even run into a young Luke Skywalker for a limited time!

If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!

    Magic awaits,
    Tara
