Hey Maria Isabel-
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. As we say around my house, “Rice is nice.” I totally understand where you are coming from. Picky eaters run rampant in my family. Let’s take a proactive approach to dining so your family and your prince have to ability to enjoy the Magic of the Mouse.
I called Disney Dining to discuss this issue. I do the same process when it comes to kosher food. After you make your Advance Dining Reservation online call 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) and explain your issue. Let the Cast Member know your son’s love of rice dishes and ask if they would please provide a special rice meal for him at your dining time. They want to help you any way they can. A few days before your reservation I would follow up to make sure they have everything in order. Also bring some snacks incase they are making the food when you arrive.
Character breakfasts are buffet style so food will be ready for the rest of your group and he may eat the snacks to enjoy food with you while the rice cooks.
At
Tusker House Safari Donald and his friends serve Basmati Rice for breakfast. Walking through Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park before it's open is truly an adventure. Make sure to look in all the plants. Animals are waking up to a new day right before your eyes.
Disney Dad Tip: Just in case there is a snafu maybe carry some instant rice packets with you. There are microwaves at most table service locations as well as food courts but not typically available at counter service restaurants.
Maria Isabel, enjoy making many Magical and Delicious Memories!
