Hi Teresa!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The Walt Disney World Resort has many
Services for Guests with Disabilities. As a mom with a son on the Autism spectrum, I know just how valuable the Disability Access Service is. This has been instrumental in allowing us to enjoy our vacation experience.
Use of the Disability Access Service (DAS) to experience
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a bit different than you may be used to. To use the DAS, you must first “Join a Boarding Group,” which is a virtual queue of sorts. To join a boarding group, you must do so through the My Disney Experience App. You have to be in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to join the queue, and it has been my experience that this fills up very quickly. If you are unable to secure a boarding group, you will not be able to experience this attraction with the DAS. If you can get a boarding group number, you will then proceed to the attraction and speak to a Cast Member. They will issue you a return time. Once your return time is called, you will then be allowed to use the FastPass+ queue to enter the attraction.
I hope that you have a magical time!
