Son has Autism. very challenging for both he and the rest of his family to walk from Cabin to pool, bus, etc. Do you know of a discount for golf cart rental? This would sure help it would lessen the break downs!! thanks Darren from Toronto. arr. 05/20

My family absolutely loved our stay at the Fort Wilderness cabins; I hope your party loves it there, too!  I'm glad you're considering the golf cart rental.  Because the grounds are so expansive, a golf cart will really ease transportation within the resort.  Unfortunately the Bike Barn does not offer a discount for guests with disabilities.  A limited number of wheelchairs, however, are available for use at each Walt Disney World resort.  Availability is not guaranteed.  If, like me, you believe that a golf cart would better suit your needs, I would consider renting from an outside company.  My family did just that during our Fort Wilderness stay.  There are a number of options available, and I believe that you will find them to be much more economical than renting from Disney.  I hope that helps.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
