Hi, Sam and Noemi!
Welcome to planDisney. It looks like you are visiting Disneyland this week. Yay! Make sure to check out the
Daily Events Schedules to see if any activities catch your eye, such as the
Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular. It's a spooktacular display of lights and music, although you may want to bring noise-cancelling headphones for your son.
The Disability Access Service (DAS) is available to eligible Guests with autism or other developmental disabilities who are unable to wait in a standard line for a long period of time. Eligible Guests (and a parent, when applicable) need to participate in a live chat with a Cast Member ahead of time to determine DAS eligibility. Since your son needs to be present for the chat, I suggest picking a time that would work best for him. The video chat is typically available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
To begin the process, log in to your account on the
Disneyland website and purchase your theme park tickets, if you haven't done so already. Stay logged in, visit the
DAS page, and scroll down to "Speak with a Cast Member." You will see instructions for the video chat, as well as the "Request Live Video Chat" button to begin the process.
If your son is determined to be eligible for DAS, the Cast Member will link DAS to the registered Guest and up to 3 additional party members. Make sure to download the
Disneyland app ahead of time, as you will use it to request attraction return times after entering a theme park. Feel free to talk with the DAS Cast Member about any questions you have related to the service.
Before your visit, I also suggest reviewing the
Services for Guests Who Are Neurodivergent page. It has a variety of helpful information to make the most of your visit to Disneyland, including an Accessibility Planning Guide that offers ideas on where to take a quiet break, if needed.
Sam and Noemi, I hope your trip to Disneyland is filled with joy and laughter! If you have additional questions, please reach out to planDisney again.
Magic Happens!
