My son has Aspergers and will be 7 when we visit WDW for the first time next June. I am trying to choose the best Disney resort to enhance our stay as far as travel times to parks, proximity for dining, etc. Is one best for location AND price? Thanks!

That's a tough one...Location would really depend on your son.  When budget is tight we usually stay at the All-Star Sports Resort because of the huge football field and the 2 pools.  It's the first bus stop of the 3 Value Resort hotels and it also is the first stop on drop off from the parks.  When we have extra cushion in our budget we like to stay at the Yacht and Beach Club.  This allows us to walk to Hollywood Studios or Epcot using the walkway.  There is also the ability to take the boat.  There will be the need to take the bus to Animal Kingdom and the water parks.  There is a bus to the Magic Kingdom as well but you could always catch the monorail from Epcot to Magic Kingdom.  When our daughter was beginning her therapy, sensory issues were abundant and the crowds in the buses would cause serious meltdowns.  We avoided the buses as much as possible.  Now, she has improved immensely and the buses don't create a sense of terror anymore.  The Yacht and Beach Club also has an amazing mini water park.  My daughter would just float around the 'lazy river' and just 'chill'.  I hope you have a fabulous trip!!
