Hi Charlene Mae!
I'm so sorry to hear about your son's injury. That sounds like a less-than-magical event ahead of a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. Luckily, I don't anticipate that it will put too much of a damper on the pixie dust!
Generally speaking, it is up to the discretion of the Guests themselves which attractions to enjoy when visiting with an injury. Cast Members will not advise or deter Guests from experiencing rides if they see that they have a cast. That being said, I would recommend checking with your family physician ahead of time to discuss which types of rides or movements may cause some discomfort. As I'm sure you are aware, while some attractions like Haunted Mansion or Peter Pan's Flight are relatively gentle, launching into Space Mountain and escaping the Yeti on the Matterhorn may cause some discomfort due to the motion of the ride vehicle. There may also be some attractions that require the Guest to participate in a way that is not suited to an arm injury; WEBSLINGERS, Buzz Lightyear, and Toy Story Midway Mania come to mind as they require you to use your hands to interact with the attraction.
Charlene Mae, I hope that is some good news to hear! While you are visiting, be sure to make some time for the
Food & Wine Festival at California Adventure. You'll be able to sip and snack your way through the park, indulging on - you guessed it - food and wine all infused with local ingredients and the California spirit. If you like to plan ahead, you can check out the
Disney Parks Foodie Guide to earmark some favorites. Additionally, you'll get to experience
Soarin' Over California which makes its return for a limited time during the festival - and it's definitely cast-friendly!
If you have any more questions ahead of your visit, we are always here for you at

Magic awaits!
