Hi Erin, and Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you found us to ask this question and I'm always happy to help a fellow Colorado mom!
How exciting that you're arriving at the
Disneyland Resort tomorrow! I'm so sorry to hEAR that your son has a cast, but the good news is you will be at The Happiest Place on Earth and there is so much to look forward to! I'm happy to say that there aren't any restrictions in place for those with an arm cast as long as it doesn't prevent any ride harnesses or lap bars from being in a safe and locked position. He might have a more difficult time driving the vehicle when riding
Autopia or when trying to score on
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters or
Toy Story Midway Mania!, but half the fun is just being a passenger on those rides! If the cast is not waterproof, you might consider a plastic bag to help protect his cast on rides that he likely will get wet on such as
Splash Mountain at
Disneyland Park and
Grizzly River Run at
Disney California Adventure Park.
Here is a list of attractions if you want to preview them before you arrive.
I'm wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation filled with lots of fun, food, & magical family time! Please visit us again at
planDisney if you have any additional questions. You've got a friend in us and we would love to help!
Smiles,
Lisa
