On 3/24, my son has an appt at Harmony Barbershop at 3:30; we are meeting my parents for ADR at La Hacienda in EPCOT at 6:15. What is the best way to get from MK to Epcot at this time of day during a busy week? Thanks Moms Panel- you all are a great help!

    Hi Kim!

I absolutely love the Harmony Barber Shop. When my son gets a little older, I'm hoping that we'll be able to have his first official haircut there.

While most people pride themselves on saying that they had their first haircut at the Harmony Barbershop, I pride myself on saying that I got my last one there - over a decade ago! I decided that it was time to shave my head (let's just say that there are a few less trees in the forest if you know what I mean), so I wanted to go out in style by having my last haircut at Walt Disney World.

So, for your journey from the Harmony Barbershop to Epcot, I'd recommend that you first make your way to the Transportation and Ticket Center. You can get there by either taking one of the large ferryboats that departs from the dock near the Magic Kingdom bus stop, or by taking the Express Monorail. The neat thing about the Express Monorail is that its platform at the Transportation and Ticket Center neighbors the platform for the Epcot Monorail. The two are literally just a few steps apart.

Once you board the Epcot monorail, the ride should take about 10 minutes or so and it will drop you off near the main gates of the park. After a nice walk through Future World, you'll hopefully work up an appetite for an awesome dinner at La Hacienda de San Angel.

I could easily cook up a few alternative methods to get there, but taking the Monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center is the easiest way to go in my opinion. Plus, the Monorail is just plain awesome!

I hope that helps. If you should have any further questions as you finalize your vacation plans, please feel free to let me know and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can!

    Best regards,
    Derek
