Welcome to planDisney, Allison! It sounds like your son is in for a year of magical memories as an
Annual Passholder! Let's jump into your question to be sure he's ready to tap into the magic, no matter who brings him!
Allison, if your son currently has a
My Disney Experience account that is managed by you, you will want to allow any other adult who will be bringing him to
connect to his managed account under his Family & Friends List. To do this, you will need to connect to your son's dad's profile first; when you send a request, you can also select "Connect Managed Profiles," and your son's account will also be connected to his dad's account when he accepts your request. This will enable his dad to include him on any dining reservations,
Lightning Lane Passes, or other plans for their time together!
Another option, if your son is at least 13 years old, is to have him create his own My Disney Experience account and then merge his managed account to his new account. If he does this, he will be able to connect to his dad's account through his
Family & Friends List on his own. To do this, once your son has created his account, click on his
managed profile in your My Disney Experience account and select "Send Email". Then, send an invitation to connect to the email address he used for his new account. When he accepts, all current plans, tickets, and MagicBands linked to his managed account will transfer to his new account, giving him more ownership of the magic! He would then be able to connect directly to his dad's account as well.
Allison, I hope this helps! I'm sure your son is excited to experience the magic on his upcoming visits as a Passholder! If you have any other questions as you plan for your vacation, come see us again here at

Magic Awaits,
Alison
