Hi there, Connie, and welcome to planDisney!
As a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder myself, I was so excited to see some changes like the inclusion of
Good-To-Go Days (dates that don’t require theme park reservations at all) and all-day park hopping. Woohoo! I am more than happy to break down what these changes may mean for your son and his girlfriend.
Because annual passes are not date-specific tickets,
Annual Passholders still need to make theme park reservations online. As I mentioned earlier, there are now Good-To-Go Days that are circled on the theme park availability calendar. On those days, no theme park reservations are needed.
Park hopping is included for all annual passes. But now, anyone with an annual pass or theme park ticket that has a
Park Hopper option (not 1-Park theme park tickets) can park hop to any of the four theme parks that aren’t at capacity. But first, if the theme park ticket is non-dated and needs a theme park reservation, the Guest will need to scan into the reserved theme park first. From there, they will be free to park hop.
Connie, I hope this helps. Please don’t hesitate to revisit us here at planDisney if you have any other questions about your family’s upcoming vacations.
I’m all ears!Magic always,
LeAndra
