my son is almost 2. we are coming to disney world at the end of may and staying at old key west. what park would be best for him?

    Hi Tia,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be delighted to welcome your son to the Walt Disney World Resort.

How exciting that you have chosen Disney's Old Key West Resort. It is my family's home resort with Disney Vacation Club! Given your son's age, I would definitely recommend Magic Kingdom where the attractions for little ones are just amazing. Take a look at the Planning for Preschool & Little Ones Guide. Review the Attractions List, the Characters and Entertainment, and the Magic Kingdom Guide Map. Check the height requirements for attractions and rides to make sure you know what your son can ride or experience. Truly, however, Magic Kingdom is just perfect for little ones!

As you make your plans, also consider making an advanced dining reservation for a few character meals. Our girls still love Chef Mickey's which is an easy walk or monorail ride to Disney's Contemporary Resort from Magic Kingdom. We also still faithfully make a pre-park opening dining reservation at The Crystal Palace where we can see Winnie the Pooh and friends.

Tia, some of our girls' favorite rides at Magic Kingdom when they were younger included Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. And, if your son is a night owl, be sure to see the Happily Ever After fireworks and projection show at Magic Kingdom. It is simply stunning!

    Magic and memories,
