Hello would my son be allowed to bring his custom lightsaber back into the park on our next visit to Hollywood Studios and tool around Galaxy's Edge with it?

Bright suns, Maya! Welcome to planDisney.

In our battle against the First Order, we're always grateful to have lightsaber-wielding Jedis visit Batuu. The stormtrooper presence has noticeably increased recently. Even Kylo Ren has been making a few appearances. He seems to be trying to recruit more people, particularly younger folk, to the Dark Side. So tell your son to be careful once he arrives.

Maya, I can tell you that your son is welcome to bring any equipment with him that is not on the list of prohibited items. Amongst other things, this list prohibits "objects or toys that appear to be firearms or weapons." Although policies are subject to change, since a lightsaber is not a known weapon on planet Earth, I would anticipate your son being fine to bring his custom lightsaber with him to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (particularly if it's one he made at Savi's Workshop).

If you would like your son to have even more fun at Black Spire Outpost, then check out the new MagicBand+. Your son can become a Bounty Hunter and discover virtual bounties hidden throughout Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. He'll never want to leave!

I hope you and your son have a great next visit, Maya. Thanks for stopping by planDisney. May the Force be with you.
