My son is in the air force and stationed in CA. I'm going out with my handicapped son for a visit and we want to visit Disneyland. I'm hearing that it will be hard to get tickets. Any advice for securing tickets?

    Heigh ho, Diane!

We are thrilled to welcome you to planDisney! So glad that you are wishing for some quality time with both your sons while visiting California. Please thank your son for his service to our country!

“Mirror, mirror on the wall, can out-of-state residents visit Disneyland theme parks when they reopen at all?” The answer to this question is “not yet”...but I’m sure that “Happy” day is coming very soon! I know this news is bound to make many people “Grumpy.” But starting April 30th, 2021 and for the foreseeable future, admission will be only for California residents due to state and local rules. So I would hold off on purchasing theme park tickets for now.

You may feel like Snow White at the wishing well, having to save that wish to visit Disneyland Resort for later. I get it! I’m from South Carolina, and I would LOVE to be able to play in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. I suggest that you follow the Disney Parks Blog and the Disneyland website for updates on when reservations begin opening up for out-of-state residents. I'm sure that wish will be granted as soon as it is safe to do so!

It’s easy to “whistle while you work” when we get such great questions, Diane! I do hope that during one of your future visits to California, you’ll be able to visit the Happiest Place on Earth!
